About an hour later we arrived at our destination. The SUP boards are placed in the water in a calm spot on the river. There we have an ideal chain to take the first steps of paddle. Our experienced guides explain the basic techniques and help you find your balance on the board. As soon as everyone feels comfortable, we start our paddling down the Douro River in a smaller tributary between green landscapes and rock formations.
Small bays and secluded coves with waterfalls and rapids, will allow you to relax, enjoy nature, diving in the river or keeping yourself paddling… the choice is yours… in short, have fun and have a pleasant time. The SUP tour ends at Ilha dos Amores – a small island in the river, where you can rest and have a small meal enjoying an unforgettable view of the Douro.
